Our Story

A Legacy of Excellence in Patient Care Since 1985

Telegraph Road Physical Therapy was founded in 1985 by Richard R. Kidwell, RPT, who served as President and Director for 18 years. In February 2004, E. Braden Brasfield, MSPT, OCS took the helm, continuing the clinic’s reputation for exceptional care while expanding its services and capabilities.

In 2020, even amid a global pandemic, Telegraph Road Physical Therapy continued to grow—relocating to our newly renovated facility just down the road. The journey wasn’t without challenges, including a car accident in July 2021 that left our front doors boarded up for months. By October, our beautiful new entryway was restored, and in February 2022, we proudly received the Commercial Renovation Award from the Affton-Lemay Chamber of Commerce.

With this move came state-of-the-art equipment and an expanded facility to better serve our patients. Yet, despite growth and increasing demand, we’ve chosen not to open multiple locations—so that Brad can continue to personally oversee patient care and maintain the highest standards of therapy in the South County area.

At Telegraph Road Physical Therapy, we take pride in our ability to accurately diagnose the source of pain and deliver individualized treatments that achieve real, lasting results. Our mission remains what it has always been: to provide compassionate, outcome-driven care that helps every patient return to the life they love.
